Memory Map Pictures
A Memory Map Picture is a collage (often of a treasured vehicle) which is divided into sections, each infilled with part of a map or stamps that relate to places of significance to the recipient of the picture.
I begin by painting the vehicle, building or other object in watercolour where necessary and use any natural lines that exist to decide the areas of maps to be used for each section of map. In most pictures elements of detail will be included in watercolour. You can also choose to have coins or stamps added related to special years or hobbies and interests. I have previously painted a Tunbridge Wells town house and put sections (albeit very small) of map into the windows. In this instance this was a watercolour with a hint of Memory Map Picture. All I require from you is a photograph of a special item (transport works very well) If you cannot obtain a photograph then details of model and year of manufacture will do. I have done a sports equipment collection when the relevant client did not have a special vehicle but was very sporty, I am happy to discuss any ideas you have. I will also need a list of places you would like to be included in your MEMORY MAP PICTURE. Coins and stamps if requested, will be added to the border of the picture. The rest is up to me to work my magic and present you with a gift you will be pleased to give to the special person in your life. This is not a computer generated picture it is a specialized item produced with a great deal of research, care and precision.
Water Colour Paintings
I work from good quality photographs. I only paint in watercolour and fine detail so the higher the number of pixels in the photograph the better the end result will be. I may be able to paint from photographs supplied by yourself, alternatively I am happy to take photographs myself. Photography sessions can be arranged or alternatively you can come to me. All prices are inclusive of photography, travelling expenses (within a 15 mile radius of Nutley), and delivery of the finished mounted painting. Framing is not included, however this can be arranged at an extra cost if you wish.
